I.N.H.S.

The Institute of Natural Healing Sciences, founded in 1985 by Charlotte Small Applegate, began with just 2 students.  The school was moved to two different locations before settling at its present site in 1988.  Charlotte, who until 1988 had been sole instructor, was joined by Paul Silverman as enrollment rapidly increased to 110 students. Charlotte sold the school in 1998 to Dawne Morrow and in 2004 INHS was purchased by Amin Chitsazan with Ebna-Cina, Inc.

INHS is located 15 minutes west of DFW Airport in Colleyville, Texas.  The school is within 30 minutes driving distance from Fort Worth, Dallas, Grapevine, Arlington, and adjacent Metroplex areas.  Our facility is on a quiet, residential street well away from the traffic and congestion of a large metropolis, in a pleasant and safe surrounding.  Several restaurants, from fast food to sit-down service, are in the area.

INHS is both a State Registered massage school and massage clinic.  The 5,500 square foot space includes 2 large classrooms with a library, a hydrotherapy room, reception and massage treatment rooms.

Although you are expected to study hard and you might find the tests challenging, we want your learning experience to be fun and interesting.  Because we have a small facility, our enrollment is limited to 30 students per class.  The student / instructor ratio is 10/1 insuring much personal supervision and one-on-one work.

INHS is registered with the Texas Department of Health (Registration #MS0151) and is a member of the AMTA Council of Schools.  The State requires that the student of massage therapy must have a basic 500-hour course consisting of:

Subject                                            Hours

  • Massage Therapy Techniques & Theory                                         200
